The Sky Pension Plan – an important update

Following its consultation with employees, Sky has confirmed that it will designate a new workplace pension scheme for current and future employees from 1 July 2026. All contributions to the Sky Pension Plan have therefore ceased with effect from 30 June 2026. Having taken independent legal and investment advice, the Sky Pension Plan Trustee expects to transfer all members’ accrued retirement savings across to Sky’s new workplace pension scheme (LifeSight) in October 2026 and will write to members in the coming weeks to provide further information (including contact details for the new scheme). In the meantime, as preparatory work for the transfer has started, the Sky Pension Plan is currently unable to accept any new requests for retirements or transfers. However, members will be able to resume these requests from Sky’s new pension scheme after the transfer.
